Job Title: Data and Planning Senior Officer
Location: Birmingham / home working (1 day & 4 days per week respectively)

Your Role:
Working for Compliance means translating regulation into action and making sure the industry understands and adheres to the legislation set out to protect the public’s interests. Working specifically within the Compliance Assurance team, you will focus on the development and maintenance of data reports and planning tools to inform a schedule of diverse activity, ensuring Compliance resource is deployed effectively targeting areas of risk.
Your Responsibilities:

It’s about planning. You will contribute to the development of a rolling plan of Compliance activity and you will take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the plan, ensuring it can flex to meet changing priorities and resource levels.

It’s about Data. You will build reports and analyse operational data to identify themes and trends to inform risk-based planning. You will oversee and facilitate ongoing data quality and work closely with quality assurance colleagues to address issues.

It’s about collaboration. You will work effectively across teams, including senior colleagues, to share insights from your data analysis. You will be able to clearly explain your recommendations and be comfortable working through any potential challenge to these.

It’s about continuous improvement. You will use your insight to work with senior colleagues across Compliance to continuously review our approach to risk-based planning.

Your Profile:
Essential:
- Experience of building data sets and maintaining data reports to inform risk-based planning and decision making.
- Good analytical skills, as well as evaluative judgement based on analysis of a diverse range of data including outcomes, operational events and complaints data. You will have experience of identifying trends and patterns within data and be able to articulate those in a range of formats.
- Experience of building and maintaining flexible planning schedules and monitoring work against target dates.
- Capable of engaging with both internal and external stakeholders at different levels, with the ability to clearly communicate outcomes and recommendations to senior colleagues.
- Ability to build working relationships across the business, particularly with our technical specialists, to develop our ways of working.
- Demonstrate experience of taking responsibility for identifying, driving and supporting change and continuous improvement to help raise standards.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a regulatory environment
- Knowledge of the gambling industry
- Experience of using Microsoft packages, including PowerBi
