We are seeking a Principal Flood Risk Engineer to join our growing team in London!
Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office, balancing collaboration and focus wherever you work best.
What you will be doing:
Undertake flood risk assessments and determining effective solutions
Modelling and review of existing drainage networks
Production and agreement of drainage strategies
Ensure that technical services are managed within their respective budgets
Prepare fee estimates and quality submissions for new work
Provide technical direction on projects
Provide technical advice/approvals for project deliverables
Comply with the QMS
What we are looking for:
Degree in civil engineering or equivalent
Chartered or working towards Chartered status of appropriate professional body
Demonstrable drainage experience in both local authority and private sector
Wide range of skills and projects including attenuation, SuDS and public realm
Ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions
Understanding of CDM duties
Experience line managing and providing technical oversight for delivery team
Knowledge and experience of business development, including fee estimation and proposal preparation
Extensive knowledge in Micro Drainage, Info Works ICM, Info Drainage and Civil3D is preferable
What’s in it for you?
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE
Hybrid working with 2-3 visits a week to your local London office.
Contract: Permanent
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
