Business Development Manager
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £50,000 basic + bonus + exceptional benefits package
Job Description
We’re pleased to announce that our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. To be considered, you should have a proven track record of closing deals worth £100,000+, exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—and be confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager

Proactively prospect new clients through well-researched, personalised outreach via various communication channels, particularly LinkedIn

Schedule meetings and develop strong relationships with potential clients, clearly communicating how the company’s services can add value to their operations.

Attend industry events to network and identify prospective clients, representing the company with enthusiasm and expertise.

Promote operational excellence within the organisation, contributing to the continuous improvement of services and processes.

Provide timely and consistent follow-up on partner requests and queries, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Key Skills of a Business Development Manager

Proven experience in sales, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with clients.

Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a reliable, positive, and detail-oriented approach.

Strong follow-up skills and the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

A willingness to learn and develop additional skills, with a focus on achieving results and exceeding targets.
