We are currently recruiting for an experienced, compassionate, and dynamic Children’s Home Manager to lead and manage the service.
As the Children's Home Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for young residents.
You will lead a team of dedicated staff, ensuring that the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and develop a team of support staff, providing supervision, training, and guidance.
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the children’s home, ensuring the well-being and safety of all children in our care.
Develop and implement individual care plans for each resident, ensuring their emotional, educational, and social development.
Ensure the home is compliant with relevant legislation, policies, and regulations (Ofsted, safeguarding, health and safety).
Work closely with families, social workers, and other external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Manage budgets, resources, and operational processes effectively.
Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and positive behaviour among staff and children.Requirements:
Experience: At least 2 years of management experience in a children’s residential setting, with a proven track record in safeguarding and managing care.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential. Additional relevant qualifications in child protection or related fields are highly desirable.
Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and make difficult decisions.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safeguarding procedures, Ofsted regulations, and the challenges facing children in care.
