About the Role:
This role focuses on providing direct DevOps support and business consulting to a variety of customers. As part of a collaborative team, you'll contribute to IT development, security, and operations while optimizing and supporting technical systems for a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver functional, technical support, and optimization for managed service systems.
Provide technical consultancy across multiple customer engagements, both remotely and on-site.
Support the development, testing, release, and maintenance of customer products.
Manage planned outages, deployments, upgrades, and major changes.
Collaborate with business development teams to support service growth.
Act as a subject-matter expert for 2nd and 3rd Line support queries.
Produce high-quality project artefacts, technical designs, and documentation.
Participate in daily Scrum or checkpoint meetings to manage incidents, upgrades, and escalations.
Deliver clear and impactful progress updates to stakeholders, identifying risks and issues.
Stay up-to-date by researching market approaches and emerging technologies.Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in DevOps or a related field.
Strong knowledge of IT practices and products.
Expertise in Linux/RHEL (v6x, 7x, and 8x).
Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, Java, Python, and Unix coding.
Scripting skills and familiarity with AGILE methodologies.
Experience using tools like JIRA and ServiceNow/OpenText Service Manager.
Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
Ability to produce high-quality, detailed written reports.
