Our client is currently recruiting for an ROV Electrical Technician. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on full-time contract basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To carry out Electrical maintenance on ROV and equipment systems (ROV, TMS, Winch, HPU, A-Frame etc). In accordance with company procedures and direction of Workshop Manager
To carry out maintenance, repair and upgrade activities related to the workshop electrical systems
To carry out re-wiring of electrical panels and junction boxes
To carry out testing of electrical equipment prior to shipping out to systems, including: Sliprings, Motors, Cameras, Lights etc
Assist the Workshop Manager in all maintenance and repair equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and guidelines
Conduct refurbishment, maintenance and repairs on all relevant equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and guidelines
Assist with Inventory checks carried out on ROV systems, which may include updated ROV reporting system on computer
To become familiar with and to maintain awareness of the company’s current requirements / protocols / policies and where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations
To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with company policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with company specific procedures
Ensure that working areas are kept in clean and tidy condition
REQUIREMENTS:
Required: Industry training in Engineering, Electrical disciplines, and Time-served.
Desirable: Previous Electrical experience in a similar ROV and workshop environment
