Mechanical Fitter – The Role:
Mechanical production build of large complex automated equipment from scratch or drawings/ pneumatic diagrams
Installation and / or commissioning and or testing of large complex equipment
Reading and working to complex engineering drawings with attention to detail
Mechanical Fitter – The Person:
2 years’ demonstrable experience of mechanical production build of large complex equipment from scratch to CAD drawings
5 years’ experience of typical mechanical skills – marking out, drilling, tapping, cutting etc.
Appreciation of manual machining and toolmaking
Experience in building automated machinery for automotive industry
Experience of installation/commissioning/testing of large complex equipment
Good level of fitness with a flexible work style and the ability to work overtime and onsite when required
Ability to effectively work to deadlines as part of a team or alone
This role will predominantly be a workshop based role, however there is the opportunity for candidates who wish to travel to be involved in machine breakdowns and installations at sites in the UK and potentially overseas.
Located in Essex, this role would be commutable from Chelmsford, Harlow, Dunmow, Braintree and surrounding areas.
Also suitable for Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Build Technician, Maintenance Technician, Toolmaker.
