Fire and Security Operations Manager - West Berkshire - £40,000-£45,000

A key position in the business that has opened up is for a Fire and Security Operations Manager. The Operations Manager ensures smooth day-to-day operations within the Fire & Security (F&S) department. This role requires proactive planning, effective leadership, and collaboration with team members to meet operational goals and maintain high standards.
Site and office based.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Professionalism

Lead by example, maintaining a consistent presence and fostering respect across the team.

Address performance issues fairly and promptly.

Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

Operational Oversight

Act as the first point of contact for management-level inquiries, escalating issues as needed.

Provide weekly updates to the Managing Director (MD) on performance and key metrics.

Ensure adherence to company procedures and resolve challenges immediately.

Process & Cost Management

Oversee efficient scheduling and resource allocation for service and installation teams.

Manage procurement to minimize costs and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Approve overtime and manage stock inventories to align with operational needs.

Reporting & Improvement

Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and project progress to optimize performance.

Regularly review processes to identify areas for improvement.

Provide detailed performance and cost reports during weekly meetings with the MD.
Qualifications & Skills

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.

Proficient in IT systems and tools such as Microsoft Excel.

Able to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively.
