Adolescent Practitioner
Duration: Initially 3 months
Hours: 36 hours per week
Rate: Up to £25 umbrella an hour dependent on experience (up to £20 PAYE an hour)
Location: Tandridge
Surrey County Council are looking for an Adolescent Practitioner to join their children's service.
Responsibilities:
Take a lead role in providing and coordinating consent-based intensive early help support to children and families
Support whole families through a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, utilising motivational interviewing skills and effective relational approaches
Coordinate key support services and professionals with families to form an engaged, active and effective Team Around the Family
Ensure casework is adequately recorded
Be the lead practitioner for a full caseload of families
Requirements:
Vocational Qualifications Level3/4 or equivalent in relevant field with practical knowledge of service user group needs, or equivalent experience
Able to plan, manage and prioritise a caseload and seek guidance where necessary
Experience of working with the user group and of staff supervision where appropriate
Experience of working with vulnerable young people and families/carers in the target
Educated to GCSE or A level standard
Valid UK driving license and access to a car
