Polytec are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our client based in Royston.
Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between internal departments and external customers and suppliers
- Develop and implement manufacturing methods from supply chain through to final stage
- Work with designers and engineers throughout product development projects
- Implement best practice methods to improve efficiency in production
- Resolve manufacturing issues through guidance and prioritisation
- Root cause analysis, implementing solutions such as jigs and fixtures, process change or design change
- Develop, maintain and improving manufacturing documentation
- Generate FMEA analysis as required
Requirements:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
- Substantial experience in manufacturing engineering or electromechanical assemblies and implementation of lean manufacturing technologies
- Successful in NPI from design to delivery to production
- Excellent manufacturing engineering and process development skills
- Experience in the design of jigs and fixtures for manufacturing
- A good understanding of engineering principles and Design for Manufacture
- Commercial awareness
