We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join a large FMCG client based in Carrington, Manchester on a permanent basis.
Specific tasks: (This list is not exhaustive)
Support Production Manager in ensuring that the KPIs for safety, environment, quality and production are met, and help to manage the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the paper machine.
Supporting the Production Manager in setting standards and best practices in the paper machine to meet these targets.
Coordinate, prioritise and plan all corrective, preventative & predictive maintenance day work activities in the production area. Coordinate with electrical and mechanical maintenance planners and ensure that all necessary permits are issued and in place to allow efficient use of maintenance day work time.
Coordinate, prioritise and plan all corrective, preventative & predictive maintenance shut work activities in the production area. Coordinate with electrical and mechanical maintenance planners and ensure that all necessary permits are issued and in place to allow efficient use of maintenance shut down time.
As defined by the Production Manager follow up all TPM activities for the paper machine area.
Drive and Coordinate together with technical office installation of all PM area modifications
Provide cover for the Shift Manager position where required.
Participate in the on call Rota Main Responsibilities:
· Follow the site H&S procedures, practices and propose improvements.
· Report any problems and issues immediately following site procedures.
· Promote site H&S standards and challenge where necessary.
· Lead H&S investigations as required.
· Undertake allocated H&S actions.
· Super User for Q4 system.
· Facilitate the site based Q4 training.
· Day work, shut down Q4 and Isolation administration.
· Follow the site environmental procedures, practices and propose improvements.
· Report any problems and issues immediately following site procedures.
· Suggest innovations to ensure customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
· Continuous improvement/lean approach to internal processes to improve outgoing quality
Experience and Qualifications
Relevant Degree (e.g. Industrial Engineering / Mechanics) BSC (MSc Optional) or willing/studying towards such a qualification/ relevant long term experience
At least 3 year experience in Process Industry essential / Paper industry
Fluent in English
Proof of right to work in the UK
Out-standing teamwork and communication skills
Sound knowledge of relevant H&S
This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week.
Ideally due to location you will have your own transport
