If so, join Bradley Complex Care a specialist inpatient hospital for adults with learning disability and/ or who are autistic with additional needs that require an inpatient stay under the Mental Health Act (1983,2007).
You will be instrumental in promoting health and independence by delivering high quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, along with providing clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team.
You will be key in demonstrating highly specialist expertise and specialist occupational therapy skills in areas such as occupational engagement, environmental adaption, development and maintenance of skills needed for meaningful participation.
You will also have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans. You will also manage a team of Occupational Therapy Assistants and you will receive clinical supervision from the Regional Lead OT.

Your responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist will include:
Communicating effectively with a range of clinicians, managers, directors, associate directors, people who access services, carers/supporters/family members, stakeholders and agencies
Providing compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff including support staff and assistants
Ensuring the effective delivery of occupational therapy student placements
Supporting the completion of supervisions, appraisals/personal development plans with junior staff
To be responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols and care pathways
To be a Successful Occupational Therapist you will need:
Occupational therapy profession qualification(s)
Registered with the HCPC
Extensive and relevant post qualification clinical experience with people with learning disability who have complex needs
Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches
Highly effective clinical reasoning skills
Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and intervention models
Knowledge of how to work with vulnerable individuals

Bradley Complex Care is located in Bradley, Grimsby, and North East Lincolnshire. The location provides a more relaxed local environment than a busy inner-city setting. Bradley is just 90 minutes by car from York, Sheffield and Mansfield.
The accommodation is not a traditional ward environment and is instead subdivided up to provide a range of services from small communal units to individual apartments, depending on the needs of the individual.
