The Facilities Officer will work to ensure a conducive and safe environment for employees whilst also maintaining adequate management of the Company’s assets across the facility.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.

Perform regular inspections. Identify and address issues to ensure a clean and safe work environment for employees. Promote a positive safety culture and working in accordance with ISO management system standards.

Ensure proper maintenance of the Company’s assets (pool cars, properties, office appliances, equipment, air con, water, water etc).

Coordinate and schedule equipment and building repairs, installations and maintenance work with vendors and appropriate in-house stakeholders.

Act as the main point of contact for the external cleaning contractors and other sub-contractors working at the Orbital facility.

Manage unplanned maintenance, repair and recovery for the facility as required within the shortest possible time.

Assist with special projects related to office/site facilities, redesign and movement to ensure maintenance plans are revised and controlled.

Responsibility for ordering office consumables including milk, tea, stationery, cleaning products etc.

Prepare weekly report of facility activities, inspections and outstanding actions.

Provide organisational and administrative support to the Health & Safety Manager and Quality & Environment Manager for both Integration and Products Business.

Maintenance of Calibration System (work with Stores team to ensure items remain in calibration and controlled).

First aid appointed person for the facility.
Essential skills
-
Previous experience in a Facilities role within a Manufacturing environment is preferred.

Excellent communication skills in order to convey internal and external operational updates to the Production Team.

Experience of compiling reports and converting to visual data.
-
Ability to manage various tasks concurrently and see them through to completion.

Proactive and self-motivated.

Computer literate – must be MS Office proficient
