Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
Develop and implement business and sales strategies to drive competitive advantage, growth, and profitability. Conduct profitability analyses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Sales and Account Management:
Generate new business leads, build and maintain client relationships, and secure new business through proposals and presentations. Oversee sales targets, pricing adjustments, contract management, and market intelligence gathering.
Operations Management:
Lead daily operations focused on quality, safety, and efficiency improvements. Ensure policies align with client SLAs and KPIs, addressing issues proactively.
Supplier Management:
Manage supplier relationships to ensure efficient, reliable, and cost-effective service delivery. Build sustainable partnerships.
Internal Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in operations, finance, and marketing for smooth project execution and oversee divisional staff.
Financial Management:
Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management or similar.
- Proven track record in business management, sales, and account management, within the freight forwarding industry.
- Strong analytical abilities with experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for building lasting client relationships.
- Leadership and people management experience.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable plans.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accurate costing and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address operational challenges and improve processes.
- Collaborative team player who can work effectively with diverse teams.
