Our client in the liquor industry is looking for a Junior Warehouse Manager to join their team. Your will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations within the liquor industry, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant storage, handling, and dispatch of inventory. This role requires strong leadership to manage teams, maintain high operational standards, and ensure the smooth flow of goods while adhering to industry regulations and safety protocols.
Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Operational Management
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of liquor products.
- Ensure accurate inventory management, minimizing shrinkage and discrepancies.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to maintain high performance and morale.
- Schedule and allocate tasks effectively to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws, customs regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to uphold regulatory compliance.
Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory control systems to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Coordinate stocktakes and cycle counts to prevent discrepancies.
- Manage product expiry dates and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) principles are followed.
Logistics Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods.
- Optimize storage space and layout for maximum efficiency.
- Monitor and improve delivery schedules to meet customer expectations.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance, including KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and operational costs.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in the liquor or FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems
