Accounts Clerk-Hospitality
Salary: R18k ctc per month
Location: Johannesburg
Description:
Responsible position with hospitality company based in Sandton.
Accurately complete the daily, weekly and monthly returns, submitting these timeously on the prescribed format in accordance with company standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing supplier invoices, liaising with suppliers, and resolving queries.
- Managing the Accruals & Prepayments relating to A/P and reconciling petty cash.
- Verifying F&B receiving reconciling with purchases.
- Ensuring invoices match PO's and receipts.
- Ensuring the Aged Accounts Payable report agrees with the G/L.
- Reconciling and balancing cash, floats, and dockets ensuring that these tally with daily income and expenditure.
- Completing monthly payroll and third-party statutory payments; extensive knowledge of the VIP payroll system would be a big advantage.
- Preparation of monthly payroll journal.
- Notifying management immediately of any variances.
- Ensuring all documentation for the receipt and issuing of commodities is accurately completed.
- Informing management of any shortages, surpluses, or irregularities and ensuring that queries are handled immediately.
- Assisting with stocktaking at prescribed intervals.
- Extending and processing stocktaking figures accurately and timeously.
- Ensuring that petty cash vouchers and relevant documentation is securely and systematically kept.
- Ensuring that control systems are operating effectively within agreed parameters.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially with Good to Advanced Excel Skills.
- Proficient in Accpac/Sage 300.
- Proficient in VIP Payroll.
- Good knowledge of hospitality PMS system.
- At least 1-3 years accounts experience in a hotel environment.
- Matric and valid RSA ID.
Provident fund and medical aid are available as part of the CTC package.
