Camps Bay Retreat invites you to embark on a transformative journey as our Senior Horticulturalist, stationed in the breath-taking landscapes of Camps Bay. What is required:
- Facilitate, assist and implement ordering, planting, and maintenance of trees, shrubs, ground covers, and turf grasses on properties.
- Able to grow potted plants and maintain nursery for the different properties.
- Identify and manage indigenous plant species to promote biodiversity and ecosystem balance.
- Establish general gardens and grounds requirements with owner.
- Liaise with owners/managers to understand project scope in accordance with the project requirements and deliver excellence in execution.
- Take ownership of projects with an excellent track record of delivery.
- Thorough knowledge of horticulture and plant propagation.
- Considerable knowledge of nursery management principles.
- Management and supervision of gardens and grounds team.
- Knowledge of elementary principles of landscaping.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English at a professional level.
- Computer literate (minimum level 2 in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Qualification in Horticulture.
- An accredited landscape architectural professional certification.
- 2-3 years of previous experience working in medium to large gardens.
- Strong landscape architecture and project management skills.
- Knowledge of design trends, techniques, materials, and world-class practices.
