To manage the laundry department as a professional, efficient and flexible service department ensuring maximum satisfaction of laundry operations, consistent with Oubaai Hotel, Golf & Spa and International standards, through planning, organizing, directing and controlling the Laundry Department Operation and Administration.
Will be reporting to the Executive Housekeeper.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the laundry staff on a daily basis.
Train, motivate, and evaluate laundry staff, providing ongoing support and feedback.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked.
Prepare and submit reports on laundry operations as required.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
Assist in the scheduling of laundry staff to meet operational needs.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
Coordinate with the maintenance department to address any maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in hospitality management or related fields are a plus.
Proven experience in a laundry role, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relating to laundry & housekeeping practices.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
