Our client is looking for a Finance Manager (FM) with experience in Golf or Hospitality.
This is a hands-on position based in Pretoria. Preference will be given to candidates living in Pretoria or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
- Full Function Accounting, Admin and Financial Management.
- Daily cash ups and capturing of these transactions.
- Debtors Invoicing.
- Supplier reconciliations and Payments.
- Various Month end journals.
- VAT calculations.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Depreciation, provisions, etc.
- Clearing of spending accounts; league fees, committee fees, etc.
- ROE calculations.
- Employment equity reporting.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Rounds reconciliations and Membership STATS.
- Reconciliation of Overheads.
- Petty Cash System controls.
- Payroll.
- Statutory payroll submissions: EMP201, EMP501.
- Integration of two systems over month end.
- Any other ad hoc tasks that may arise.
Monthly Reporting:
- Management accounts which include:
- Income statement.
- Statement of Financial Position.
- Cashflow.
- Departmental reporting.
- Variance reporting.
- Budgeting.
- Forecasting.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Good financial knowledge and experience.
- Good interpersonal experience and skills to manage and work with employees at all levels.
- Deadline-driven.
- Skills to train, monitor, evaluate and motivate fellow colleagues.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Contactable references.
Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:
- Relevant academic qualification in the field of Commerce, Accounting or Financial Management.
- At least 4 years’ experience in a similar environment, preferably within the golfing and hospitality industry.
Remuneration Package:
Market-related, depending on experience and qualifications.
