Structural Designer
Location: Johannesburg
Description:
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure the design of cost-effective, high quality structural roof designs and drawings in accordance with codes of practice.
- Generate Roof designs according to specifications.
- Generate working drawings according to specifications.
- Ensure that designs are generated according to specifications.
- Ensure that working drawings are generated according to specifications.
- Ensure designs/working drawings are checked according to specifications and that any remedial actions are completed.
- Ensure that estimations for customer depict the most cost effective solutions.
- Manage customer expectations.
- Conduct and oversee visual site inspections.
- Satisfy Sales Force Expectations.
- Invoice jobs according to quotations.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and purchase orders.
Relevant Qualification and Experience Required
- ND in Civil Engineering.
- 5 years in Engineering experience (Roofing design experience will be an added advantage).
- AutoCAD/Caddie experience.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
