Job Purpose: To manage and direct the planning and implementation of Social Services Infrastructure Asset Management organisation-wide and administer the provision of a strategic advisory service to the Units within the Community and Emergency Services Cluster in respect of financial and key performance areas.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Identify and define immediate short and long term objectives/plans associated with Asset Management.
- Guide and advise in the planning and coordination of the capital and operating estimates and monitor expenditure against approved budget allocations.
- Direct and control outcomes associated with the utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel within Asset Management Branch.
- Execute applications associated with the provision of an Asset Management consulting/advisory service to the Cluster.
- Manage procedures and applications associated with the implementation of Asset Management Plans and Programmes.
- Conceptualise and direct research to drive strategic formulation and development of organisation-wide Social Services Infrastructure Asset Management Plan.
- Direct complex studies focused on establishing long term risks in relation to the assets life cycle, asset maintenance and net asset value of critical Unit/Cluster high value asset.
- Manage processes associated with the preparation of submissions for introducing new or for review of existing policy frameworks.
- Prepare business plans to determine and present the sustainability of major complex/high risk strategic projects.
- Direct the evaluation, review and alignment of infrastructure development plans against critical deliverables detailed in the Integrated Development Plan.
- Disseminate strategic and functional information on the immediate, short and long term objectives.
- Guide critical development and decision-making processes in prospect of the complex technical arrangements involved in strategic infrastructure and asset projects.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (NQF Level 8) in Architecture or any other related and equivalent qualification.
- Registered as a professional with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).
- Valid motor vehicle driving license.
- 6 Years relevant experience.
- Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 9) in Architecture or any other related and equivalent qualification.
- Registered as a professional with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).
- 7 Years relevant experience.
