Thus, the role entails a unique opportunity to contribute to solving one of the world's most pressing problems, and to learn and grow, while playing a key role in our specific commitment to decarbonize real estate.
The role
As a Sustainability Business Partner you will be the single point-of-contact for your colleagues and you will own, communicate and facilitate sustainability efforts for the markets in Germany, UK, Poland and Norway, where each market presents its own opportunities and focus areas. Besides these markets, you will have joint responsibility with colleagues to further refine and develop the entire Nrep sustainability delivery model. Thus, your role as market responsible and as change agent is pivotal in accelerating and executing the sustainability strategy in Nrep.
The team
The Sustainability Business Partnering team serves all business lines and engages in both strategic development projects and operations. The department comprises of specialists with in-depth knowledge of key phases throughout the asset life cycle, particularly in the digitization of real estate, sustainability, and commissioning.
We work as a team, and your key responsibilities will be enabled in close collaboration with the broader sustainability, asset management and construction teams, relevant business leaders, and other relevant teams in Nrep and Urban Partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as sustainability change agent covering transactions, standing assets, energy management and reporting in your respective markets
2. Curate and facilitate the different departments and stakeholders engaged in making Nrep sustainability strategy come to life
3. Ensure execution on brown-to-green strategy (e.g., prioritization of projects, funding process) and align process with all stakeholders and involved teams
4. Support transaction teams in usage of right tools and templates followed by problem-solving solutions to meet sustainability targets on both embodied and operational targets
5. Support on ad hoc sustainability tasks including external communication, refinancing of assets, facilitating suppliers, etc.
Your Experience & Skills
At Nrep, we seek authentic team players – caring colleagues who have a “can do” attitude and a high level of integrity. You have the drive and dedication to take a change agent role in guiding the local organisation with their sustainability approach.
We expect you to have the following experience and professional competences:
1. 7-10 years of experience within real estate ESG
2. Knowledgeable with life cycle assessments and certification schemes like DGNB, LEED, BREEAM or similar
3. Familiar with reporting frameworks like SBTi, GRES, EU taxonomy or CSRD
4. Experience with stakeholder management and change management
5. Most of your work will be in English, hence full professional proficiency is required

1. Highly organized and able to monitor and process many moving parts
2. Curious and a constant learner
3. Collaboration skills to build networks and lasting relationships
4. Willing to take a “guiding”/”change agent role” when supporting the organization
5. Strong communication and analytical skills
