We are looking for a Housing Options Officer to join the team of a well established organisaiton in the Taunton area. This role is a hyrbdi position, offering a temporary contract.
Housing Options Officer
Monday to Friday
Taunton, Hybrid working
Temporary - 12 weeks plus
As a Housing Options Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Provide advice, information and assistance to applicants who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- Help applicants to explore their housing options and find suitable accommodation that meets their needs.
- To work with a range of partners and agencies to prevent and reduce homelessness in the community.
- Referral signposting to supporting agencies
To be succesful as a Housing Options Officer you will need:
- A good understanding of housinfg legislations
- Knowlede of part 7 of the 199k housing act and the homelessness act 2002
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including duties to accondate under housing act 1996 part VII
