The Operations Manager reports directly to the Head of Operations. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing a team, and implementing processes to streamline workflow, reduce risk, and enhance productivity. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role also works closely with the Partner Services, Product, and the Finance team.
Key Performance Areas will include but not limited to:
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure they meet their performance goals and contribute to the overall success of the department.
- Operational Excellence: Implement and maintain best practices in operational processes, including trade settlement, trade reconciliation, trade confirmation, and post-trade activities. Continuously assess and improve operational efficiency.
- Risk Management: Develop and oversee risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks, including fraud, errors, and compliance issues. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Trade Support: Provide trade support, ensuring accurate trade execution, settlement, and allocation. Resolve trade discrepancies and exceptions in a timely manner.
- Corporate Actions: Oversee the smooth and accurate handling of corporate actions events.
- Banking: Oversee the smooth and accurate handling of all banking transactions, ensuring accurate and timely funding of various bank accounts and custodian accounts. Ensure FX rates are accurately applied.
- Ensure a cost-effective and efficient service is provided to all clients (internal/external) and that it is in line with clients' Service Level Agreements/Special standing instructions.
- Management of all monthly reporting requirements.
- Other ad hoc tasks relevant to the role.
Job-Related Skills & Education
- Tertiary qualification.
- 1-3 years’ experience in Operations Management.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Knowledge of industry regulations.

- Must be proficient in gathering and analysing business requirements and data while applying problem-solving techniques.
- Self-starter – capable of organising and structuring workload.
- Results-oriented.
- Ability to think outside the box using initiative.
