π Your Role: Lead the Change in Patient Care
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Male PICU service. Your responsibilities will include:
π©Ί Clinical Leadership: Take full responsibility for patient care, leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic reviews to create a therapeutic environment for patients.
π€ Holistic Care: Provide expert psychiatric assessments and treatment for a diverse patient population, ensuring person-centered care and a recovery-focused approach.
π‘ Team Collaboration: Work closely with an expert team of psychologists, therapists, and nurses to develop tailored care plans that are both holistic and evidence-based.
π Clinical Governance: Lead initiatives to maintain high standards of care, ensuring full compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards while contributing to quality improvement projects.
π On-Call Support: Participate in the on-call rotation, ensuring continuous care and support for patients.
π External Networking: Build strong relationships with external stakeholders and maintain a professional network to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
π Who Weβre Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who has:
- Full GMC registration with specialist registration in psychiatry.
- Extensive experience in Forensic Psychiatry, particularly working with inpatient settings and patients with complex mental health conditions.
- A CCST or CCT (or equivalent) in psychiatry, with proven leadership experience in providing high-quality care.
- Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance and experience adhering to regulatory frameworks.
- The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to implement evidence-based practices in a practical setting.
