Estimator/Senior Estimator role in Chesterfield, £50000 - £70000 + Excellent benefits package
Your New CompanyA dynamic civil engineering contractor are now recruiting for a Senior Estimator. A well-established and highly regarded contractor, they are undertaking a number of exciting projects across the UK. Delivering high-quality, value-driven solutions across a diverse range of sectors including transport infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy and public realm. Due to continued growth they wish to invest in an ambitious, experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their commercial team.
Your New RoleWorking closely with Estimating and Commercial Managers, you will be responsible for researching materials, equipment and labour costs and review potential Value Engineering options and also preparing and subcontractor/supplier packages for sending out to the market. You will be expected to manage projects efficiently and report price variations effectively. As well as analysing subcontractor/supplier quotations for the most competitive and compliant and assisting with programme preparation and assess the levels of risk on a project. This is an office based role but some travel to site maybe required as and when.
What you need to succeedYou will be degree educated in a construction related discipline, and will have at least 5 years of previous experience in an estimating role. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of tendering and winning build projects and a strong understanding of construction processes. You will have proven experience of delivering all aspects of your role efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. A confident and outgoing personality will also be beneficial for dealing directly with clients and their design teams.
