Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - FMCG Manufacturing
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Salary: £46,000 to £52,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Day Shifts)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance a top-rated manufacturer of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) based in Ipswich, Suffolk. This role is perfect for an experienced engineer looking to work with high-speed production and packaging machinery, where you’ll play a crucial part in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting production improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on high-speed production and packaging machinery, as well as associated process plant.

Utilise PLC fault-finding skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

Identify and resolve electrical issues swiftly to minimise downtime.

Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to support ongoing machine reliability.

Support site-wide and production line improvement projects, driving efficiency and innovation.
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Competence in electrical fault-finding and PLC troubleshooting.

Previous experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment is preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on minimising downtime.
