The Commercial Excellence Director (m/f/d) is responsible for optimizing organization's sales and marketing processes to improve overall performance and profitability. They develop and implement strategies to enhance sales effectiveness, pricing strategies, customer relationship management and market analysis. This role focuses on streamlining operations, ensuring consistent customer experiences and driving revenue growth through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. Commercial Excellence Director plays a crucial role in aligning sales and marketing efforts with the company's business objectives and customer needs.
Onsite presence is essential for effective collaboration and fostering our dynamic team environment. With our hybrid policy allowing one remote day per week, proximity to the office is a key requirement.

Short-term Objectives
- Lead Customer Care, Digital Sales Platforms, and Indirect Procurement for the DACH region.
- Establish a cross-business-unit Customer Care team and integrate project management.
- Drive process and system improvements with sales teams and back offices in Cluj and Szekesfehervar.
- Streamline workflows and tools to enhance customer satisfaction and sales efficiency, including expediting and after-sales processes.
- Measure and improve internal and external customer satisfaction through reporting and root cause analysis.
- Develop a non-conformance costing model to quantify quality impacts (e.g., delays, rework).
- Foster communication, innovation, and continuous process improvement.
Long-term Objectives
- Build a Commercial Excellence Organization to expand into areas like sales competency development, customer segmentation, new business models, sales tools, and pricing.

You anticipate customer needs and use customer insights to provide services that are beyond expectations and to drive and guide the development of new offerings.
You actively listen and check for understanding, adjusting communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse partners.
You build teamwork allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Commercial or technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of sales processes with experience in sales, sales operations or customer care.
- Proficiency in digital tools like Power BI and CRM.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, managing changes and delivering projects.
- Fluent in English and German.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience in delivery of digital programs in a complex Matrix organization
- Experience in industrial automation environment; with a good knowledge of technical products and understanding of similar industries (e.g. chemical, petrochemical, power, life science, automotive)
