Lecturer Position: Emergency Medical Care Ref: C202
Minimum Requirements:
- A Masters Degree in Emergency Medical Care or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Higher Education and Training.
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Emergency Care Practitioner.
- Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD.
Additional Recommendations:
Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet use.
Summary of Duties:
- Contribute to the research, design, development & review of Teaching and Learning, curriculum development and institutional development policies, procedures, systems & instruments as required, in line with relevant quality assurance mechanisms.
- Provide and facilitate teaching, learning and assessment in emergency medical care and rescue across all four years of the programme.
- Develop learning material and course content, to ensure continuity in relevance and maintenance of quality.
- Involvement in research activities.
- Engages in continuous academic development.
- Involvement in community engagement.
Salary: Market related.
