INHERENT JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years citrus packhouse experience; experience in soft citrus will be advantageous.
- Set and maintain correct sorting and packing targets and standards by operating an optic sizer and sorter (MAFRODA).
- Operate and maintain automatic and semi-automatic machinery – GOSSAMAR (speed packers, bin fillers, pallet scanners, pallet strapper).
- Mechanical aptitude of packhouse equipment and maintenance requirements.
- Compliance knowledge including GLOBALGAP, BRCGS, SIZA.
- Familiar with IT (MS Teams, Power BI – interpretation, Farm Trace, PalTrack).
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE:
- Responsible for packing a high-quality product.
- Manage packhouse data, tracking and interpreting reports.
- Manage staff and maintain high levels of discipline with regards to productivity and timekeeping.
- Liase with suppliers.
- Quality control.
- Managing of post-harvest chemicals.
- Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices/Health and Safety standards for Food Safety.
- Orchard, special markets registrations, and phytclean.
