Hourly Rate: £15.28ph + £2.52ph additional night rate between 18:00 to 06:00 + £19.86 subsistence allowance per day + £8.81 food allowance per day.

Days of Work: Monday to Friday
Shift Window: 12:00 - 21:00

Job Description
As a Class 1 Tramper driver, you'll be responsible for:
Making bulk collections & deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide
Operating and maintaining a modern fleet of vehicles on an agreed shift pattern
Delivering palette loads to HGV-friendly locations efficiently and safely
Completing a minimum of 4 nights per week, sleeping in your vehicle at one of our secure locations
Covering a set region surrounding your base depot
Conducting thorough pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure roadworthiness
Accurately completing all required paperwork, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
Adhering to all UK road traffic laws and regulations, including drivers' hours rules
Maintaining excellent communication with the transport office, customers, and other drivers
Representing DPD professionally at all times, providing exceptional customer service
Reporting any incidents, accidents, or near-misses promptly and accurately
Participating in regular safety briefings and training sessions as required
Assisting with loading and unloading of goods when necessary, following proper manual handling procedures
Ensuring the security of the vehicle and its load at all times
Adapting to changing route requirements and weather conditions as needed
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
A valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence
Minimum 12 months Class 1 experience
A valid UK CPC Card
A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
Someone who demonstrates the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
Strong geographical knowledge of UK roads and motorways
Proficiency in using satellite navigation systems
Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods when required
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A clean driving record with no major traffic violations
Flexibility to work varying shifts when required
Basic mechanical knowledge for conducting vehicle inspections and minor repairs
Ability to maintain accurate logs and complete necessary paperwork
Commitment to maintaining a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
