About the Role As Group Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations, logistics, and supply chain management. Key Responsibilities Operational Strategy & Management - Develop and implement strategies to optimize operations across business units.
- Enhance workflow, resource utilization, and overall efficiency against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee logistics, transportation schedules, and warehouse operations to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Lead and mentor operations managers and department heads, fostering accountability and innovation.
- Drive team training, performance evaluations, and talent development initiatives.
- Introduce best practices in operational and supply chain management.
- Utilize data analytics and ERP systems to identify bottlenecks and improve processes.
- Champion the adoption of new technologies to streamline operations.
- Assist in budget development, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Recommend and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external partners.
- Negotiate contracts and oversee service delivery performance.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations management.
- Verify payroll accuracy and oversee disciplinary actions and union negotiations.
- Supervise procurement, installation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules and ensure safety compliance.
Education: - Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related fields
Experience: - 5+ years of leadership experience in operations management, preferably in agriculture, FMCG, or integrated supply chains.
- Proven expertise in managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
Skills & Competencies: - In-depth understanding of agricultural operations, supply chains, and commodity markets.
