Role and Responsibilities
• Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
• Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
• Performing repairs where possible whether it may be of electrical or any other nature.
• To implement preventative maintenance when necessary.
• Work on large projects that may mean the complete installation of an entire new system and ensuring that work is done in accordance to set standards.
• Complete stripping of existing HVAC systems and installation of new units both indoor and outdoor.
• Installation and maintenance of supporting systems such as ducting, extraction systems.
• Listing equipment and consumables needed for quotations to be done.
• Correct assessment and action on preventative maintenance will prevent future inconvenience and discomfort to our clients, thus building a good relationship and strengthening our reputation as leaders in our industry.
• Part of any HVAC system requires the proper attention to the supporting systems for example ducting, extraction, fresh air, and where relevant chiller and BMS systems.
