REQUIREMENTS - 4 to 6 years relevant experience in remuneration & rewards
- Bachelors Degree or 3 year diploma (NQF 6 or NQF 7) essential
- Member of SARA (South African Rewards Association) advantageous
- GRP (Global Remuneration Professional) Certification advantageous
- English (Read, write & speak), any other South African languages advantageous
- Highly proficient in Software & Systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel
- Strong knowledge of job evaluation principles & benchmarking methodology essential
- Familiarity with HR systems featuring advanced compensation & benefits functions
- Experience with salary benchmarking and job evaluations, preferable knowledge of the recognized framework, Paterson
- Knowledge of local labour laws and regulations impacting compensation and benefits
- Able to achieve results within specified timelines working successfully under pressure
- Ability to effectively communicate reward concepts to a wide audience
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with sensitive compensation data
- Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence key stakeholders
- Knowledge of corporate governance, remuneration principles & industry best practices
DUTIES - Develop, implement & maintain competitive compensation and benefits strategies
- Manage the companys reward programs, including salary structures and incentive plans, to attract, retain, and motivate employees
- Conduct regular market benchmarking to align with industry standards
- Collaborate with Remuneration Committee to review and adjust reward policies
- Develop tailored solutions for identified problems for various business projects.
- Manage the bi-annual salary review processes aligning with organizational goals
- Continuously identify and evaluate the top salary benchmarking tools in the industry
- Provide advice and support on compensation and benefits-related queries
- Compile and administer increase mandates for approval
- Collate reward information, administration & report preparation
- Manage calculations, prepare PowerPoint presentations
- Conduct job evaluations and benchmarking across all Paterson levels.
- Oversee job evaluations & descriptions ensuring company standards are met
- Compile final salary increase recommendations for approval
- Implement and manage a project bonus system for projects
- Conduct & analyse compensation/benefits data to identify trends, gaps & improvement
- Prepare reports for senior management, Remuneration Committee, and stakeholders
- Track the companys reward programs & recommend improvements
- Ensure all reward programs are in line with local labour laws, corporate governance codes& best practice standards
- Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures
- Act as an advisor to the Human Capital team, Senior Management & HR team
- Drive initiatives ensuring employees feel valued and fairly compensated
- Conduct employee surveys and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training to HR team & Snr Management on remuneration trends & policies
- Conduct workshops and seminars on the company's reward framework
- Assist the Head of Human Capital and Change Management with succession planning
- Collaborate with Skills & Development Partner maintaining career pathing programs
- Manage annual hiring planning process, consolidating role requests, benchmarking positions, facilitating approval process with the Remuneration Committee
