Job Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all plant and FF&E, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel and spa.
- Verify completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, and external areas.
- Assist in hiring, training and development, supervision, and disciplining of all staff in the Engineering Department.
- Maintain effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Inform the General Manager and senior managers on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Construction preferred.
- Five to seven years in a major hotel, hospital, or building, in a managerial / supervisory capacity.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
