The MD Program trains the next generation of doctors by delivering a comprehensive learning experience to our students. We have been at the forefront of medical education innovation and scholarship since we were established in 1843.
The Standardized Patient Program (SPP) at the University of Toronto is in its 40th year and continues its long history of providing simulation services to the MD Program and other departments. As Project Manager and Simulation Lead, you will lead and manage simulation projects related to the training and assessment of learners in the MD Program and clinical departments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Consulting with clients regarding project scope, resources, and risk assessments
- Developing project schedules and implementing project plans
- Coordinating recruitment and training of casual staff as standardized patients
- Developing cases and roles for the Standardized Patient program
- Conducting data analysis to inform programs and recommendations for enhancements
- Facilitating educational workshops and seminars
- Preparing cost estimates for clients and monitoring project accounts
- Fostering stakeholder engagement and maintaining relationships with project partners
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management in an educational setting
- Proven experience applying project management methodology to large-scale projects
- Experience managing and analyzing data for decision making
- Experience sourcing and managing vendor agreements
- Experience with teaching and group facilitation
- Experience supervising casual staff
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe Professional
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, supervisory, and project management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and is self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
- Excellent judgement and a high degree of diplomacy
- Ability to facilitate diverse cohort groups
Assets (Nonessential):
- Experience with healthcare education and standardized patient training
- Experience working with SharePoint
