We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support to our customers, ensuring that their IT issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for troubleshooting a range of software and hardware problems, while also delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support and a passion for helping others.
*Duties*
* Provide 2nd line technical support for Windows operating systems and associated software applications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware, including peripherals and network devices.
* Assist users with software troubleshooting, ensuring minimal disruption to their work.
* Utilise tools such as Jira for tracking issues and managing support requests efficiently.
* Respond to customer queries via the help desk, ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
* Implement and manage firewall configurations to maintain network security.
* Document solutions and maintain knowledge base articles for future reference.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate unresolved issues when necessary.
* Maintain a high level of customer service throughout all interactions.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in a 2nd line support role or similar position within an IT environment.
* Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and computer networking principles.
* Familiarity with help desk software, particularly Remedy, is advantageous.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
* Experience working with office applications and general IT infrastructure is preferred.
* Experience working in an *MSP environment* or providing outsourced IT services is highly desirable.
* Strong hands-on experience with *Microsoft 365* applications, services, and administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
