We are currently recruiting for a Pre-Press Operative to join our Production team based at Coveris UK's Cramlington site. This role is both permanent and full time, working on a triple shift (earlies, afternoons & nights).
Key Areas of Responsibility - The main focus of the role is to ensure all tooling, plates and cutters are available at press at the beginning of a job. To assist the press operator with all aspects of job setup to ensure efficient setups
- Ensure next job is prepared in time, to ensure efficient changeover
- To work from plan supplied by Production Planner
- Laying plates
- Assist in change overs, including washing off
- Return of Cylinders, Mags, Plate and Cutter bags to the allocated area after use
- Good housekeeping of tooling, equipment and work areas
- Minimise Downtime
- Operating the press during print runs following relevant training
- Clear understanding of Company Handbook, including Health & Safety and Hygiene Policy
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to (SOP's, H&S, dignity at work, attendance, holidays etc.)
- Any other duties required to meet the prevailing needs of the business
