My client a leading Manchester based provider of travel solutions to the Film & Music Industry is expanding again due to increased demand. They are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their established finance team. The position is responsible for assisting a wide variety of Management Accountant Activities.
Job Overview:
The position of Assistant Accountant is responsible for assisting a wide variety of Management Accountant Activities and collaborating with other finance departmental tasks. This role sits within the UK Finance team assisting the Head of Finance for the UK and Commercial Finance Manager and supports the wider function alongside the companies UK and global accounting colleagues.
Key Duties:
Analyse financial information to enable business profitability and growth
Prepare journal entries for month end and year end journals
Provide accurate management reporting to support key decision making
Process payment runs as requested and required
Assist with producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, year-end audit deliverables, relevant commercial analysis
Provide assistance with management of capital expenditure
Assist with budgeting, reforecasting and financial planning processes
Comply with financial regulations
Maintain historical records according to legislation
Liaise and collaborate with finance colleagues across the company
Complete all day to day finance activities in a timely manner
Skills Required:
Recognised Accounting qualification or training
Extensive experience and proven record of working in a fast paced environment
Excel skills to a high level
Skilled use of Microsoft Office Suite
Accounting experience within the travel industry
Working knowledge of Travcom or other travel finance packages
Experience of SAP BO
