.Are you eager to land a brand new role for the New Year? Our client in Berkshire are looking for an experienced Capital Accountant to join their team and play a crucial role in their Finance operations. Position: Capital Accountant
Location: Berkshire
Hourly Rate: £96 p/h (Umbrella)
Start: ASAP
Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm
Duration: 3 months (Possible Extension)
Key Responsibilities - Monitoring of capital projects, including the analysis and investigation of variances
- Discussing the preparation of the quarterly capital monitoring & outturn reports.
- Responsible for monitoring the current financial position of the service areas and the approved Capital Programme as a whole.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual and 10-year Capital Programme.
- Assisting in the closure of the Capital cost centres, preparation of additions to the Fixed Asset Register and assistance in the production of Capital working papers.
Job Requirements - Fully qualified accountant, unqualified accountants will not be accepted.
- Member of a professional accounting body and committed to continuing professional development.
- Experience of producing CIPFA code compliant financial statements.
- Experience of working in local government finance.
- Experience of working at a senior level within a finance department.
