Senior Occupational Therapist
Your World is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 OT for work on a locum basis. You will be joining an outstanding team within a well-known Front Door Therapies Pilot in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Who are we looking for?
As a Band 6 OT, you will have the knowledge, skills and qualifications to take on the role. You must possess a kind, confident and motivated personality with the ability to communicate to an exceptional standard with both patients and colleagues.
You will be extremely understanding and able to adapt your methods to each patient's varying requirements. You must be comfortable organising your own schedule as well as working within the Front Door Therapies Pilot team.
Requirements
- Remote role but will need to be reactive to the needs of the service each day. Will need to live in close proximity to Newcastle.
- Assess patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, cooking, and household tasks. To undertake environmental home visits with or without the patient.
- Provide interventions to improve patients’ independence and quality of life, including recommending adaptive equipment and home modifications so the patient can return home.
