Parks Officer
Location: Salisbury
Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week
Salary Range: £25,183 - £25,992 per annum FTE

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Salisbury City Council s Parks Department. The successful applicant will work alongside a small team of Officers inspecting parks and green spaces across the city and supporting their line manager with projects. Our Parks Officer s oversee the Council s tree stock and tree planting, Allotments and Volunteers.
About the role:
- Oversee the Council s tree stock
- Manage allotments
- Inspect the city s parks and green spaces
- Contribute to risk assessments for outdoor spaces
- Work with contractors and our grounds team to oversee maintenance and repairs
- Willingness to work in all weathers
- Liaise with volunteer groups
- Experience working on digital database systems
- Experience using outlook, word and excel
- Good communication skills
About you:
- Do you enjoy a mixture of outside and office based work? If so, this could be the ideal role for you!
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and excel
- Keen to build meaningful working relationships through strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal?
- Ability to thrive within a team while effectively prioritising and adapting to a dynamic workload
- Willing to learn new skills and attend training
- Physically able to get to and from sites to complete outdoor inspections
- Punctual & reliable
