Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Community Outreach and Dissemination Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in further developing the company’s community of interest and driving engagement through a variety of communication channels. This role offers the opportunity to shape our outreach strategy and have a significant impact on the dissemination of open science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation:
Write and publish high-quality articles, blog posts, and newsletters that highlight the company’s initiatives, updates, achievements, and the importance of open science.
Develop compelling social media content for platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels to engage with our audience and expand our reach. - Community Engagement:
Organize and manage webinars, online events, and workshops to educate and engage the community about the company’s services and open science practices.
Plan and execute outreach events, including conferences and seminars, to promote the company’s mission and interact with stakeholders. - Strategy Development:
Collaborate with the team to develop and refine community outreach and dissemination strategy, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
Identify and implement new opportunities for outreach and engagement to enhance the company’s visibility and impact in the open science community. - Relationship Building:
Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, librarians, and open science advocates, to build a supportive and engaged community around the company.
Act as a liaison between the company and its community, gathering feedback and insights to inform our services and outreach efforts. - Monitoring and Reporting:
Track and analyze the performance of outreach activities, providing regular reports and insights to the team.
Use data and feedback to continuously improve our outreach efforts and ensure they meet the needs and expectations of our community.
Qualifications:
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Communications, Public Relations or a related field. A background in library science or open science is a plus.
- Proven experience in content creation, social media management, and community engagement.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication English skills (C1 level+).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience in organizing webinars, events, and workshops.
- Passion for open science and the ability to articulate its importance to a diverse audience.
- Proactive, creative, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with analytics tools to track and report on outreach activities.
