Context & Environment
- Operate in a manufacturing environment with continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with the Energy Regulator (NERSA), National Ports Regulator, and National Key Point Act.
Key Activities
Productivity/Delivery
- Maintain standard daily filling targets.
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning in the filling area and on filling equipment.
- Safely operate filling equipment according to instructions.
- Adhere to filling and work instructions and report any unsafe conditions or non-conforming practices.
- Ensure the filling crew is present at workstations at the start of each shift and report non-attendance to the Production Line Leader.
- Collect and follow the daily filling instructions provided by the Production Line Leader.
- Operate forklifts as required.
HSEQ
- Manage and minimize HSE risk by:
- Ensuring compliance with all HSE policies, rules, guidelines, and legal requirements.
- Promoting a safe working environment and contributing positively to HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies.
- Identifying and enforcing HSE competency requirements within the area of responsibility.
Requirements
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience - Minimum: Matric/N4 or equivalent qualification.
- Preferred: Any 3-year tertiary qualification.
- 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Skilled in the operation of plant machinery.
- Working knowledge of HSEQ systems (ISO 9000/14001).
- Familiarity with production processes, including the handling of hazardous chemical substances.
- Ability to operate fire-fighting equipment and handle spills.
- Computer literacy is an advantage.
