Mission of the Role
The Product Specialist will ensure the technical support, performance, and optimization of Boomer, Boltec, and LHD equipment. The role involves technical service delivery, customer satisfaction, and improving equipment performance and availability, while maintaining a focus on safety and cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Optimization
Install and commission underground diesel equipment.
Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance for underground drilling, bolting, and hauling equipment.
Optimize drilling and bolting applications to align with underground mining environments.
Ensure proper use of drilling tools and GET to enhance performance.
Align pressure and RCS settings with mining applications to maximize efficiency.
Maintenance & Training
Conduct regular machine audits and daily inspections.
Support customers in scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks, including backlog repairs.
Assist in workshop repairs and breakdown calls.
Provide training and assessments for operators and maintenance staff.
Share best practices and assist operators in optimizing drilling, bolting, and hauling operations.
Process Improvement
Implement and monitor new technologies in the designated area.
Execute Technical Service Bulletins and modifications as required.
Process warranty claims and conduct scheduled RigScans.
Record, evaluate, and report implementation processes with suggested improvements.
Customer Relations & Communication
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Deliver effective communication, including weekly and monthly reports on machine utilization and performance.
Collaborate with technical teams at the head office and provide feedback on customer activities and problem-solving efforts.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong technical background with expertise in underground TMM equipment.
Proficiency in computer applications and reporting tools.
Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Presentable grooming and dress code for customer-facing interactions.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
