More about your role
As a Technical Manager you will work as part of a regional Technical Team in the South East headed up by the Technical Director responsible for providing designs, strategies and specifications for our developments. You will manage various aspects of design, specification and implementation of specific developments. Working on a number of schemes concurrently, this role will have full involvement from preconstruction to handover of completed units
You will coordinate and manage the production of the working drawings, details and specifications from external consultants for onward distribution and discussion with internal departments. You will be responsible for ensuring clashes on drawings and layouts are highlighted, specifications are adhered to and build type and design are scrutinised. You will also play a key role in monitoring and assisting in the progression of works on site.
You may also be expected to play a lead role in the design co-ordination and submission of detailed planning applications.

More about you
To apply for this role, you must have experience as a Design Manager or a Technical Manager. Experience working on designs for multi-tenure (affordable rent, PRS, market sale) complex construction projects would be advantageous. You will also require knowledge of various construction methods, an expert knowledge of building regulations and standards and CDM regulations. It would also be advantageous if you have experience and knowledge of the planning process and procedures.
This role is based in the South West allowing you to collaborate with the developments and construction teams. Due to amount of travel involved a driving licence is required.
