We’re seeking an experienced Bookkeeper fluent in Portuguese to join our team in Fourways. This role involves managing financial processes, ensuring reporting accuracy, and supporting our accounting team.
Requirements:
• Fluent in Portuguese (essential).
• Matric with higher-grade accounts or bookkeeping qualification.
• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and accounting software.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Manage supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payments.
• Post weekly bank entries and complete reconciliations monthly.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance.
• Reconcile accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and conduct stock reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and prepare management accounts.
• Support the team with accounting queries and organize financial records.
