The National Sea Rescue Institute is looking for an experienced Team Manager to lead the face-to-face fundraising team in Cape Town, working in shopping centres and at various venues and events nationwide. The NSRI has 50+ stations, satellite stations and Lifeguard premises across a volunteer network spanning 1500+ volunteers.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification (3 years or more) in Management/Business.
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in a sales management role.
- Proficient in English (written and verbal).
- Persistent, with sales and results driven.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and stressful situations.
- Be process driven and accurate in reporting.
- Face-to-Face marketing and/or fundraising experience is advantageous.
- Own reliable vehicle and ability to travel regularly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all activities within the team.
- Effectively train and monitor the quality of team performance.
- Demonstrate a positive, professional and approachable attitude at all times.
- Actively manage and coach fundraisers in the field.
- Maintain appropriate measures to ensure the security of donor information.
- Handle complaints to safeguard the NSRI’s reputation.
- Keep track of and structure various tasks, employees and documents.
- Drive team performance and achieve team targets.
- Position and uphold the NSRI brand and reputation.
- Manage relationships and logistics with venues.
- Recruit, train, coach, motivate and retain high performing Face-to-Face Fundraisers.
