A large export company is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their team in Bellville, Western Cape. The role includes timesheet reconciliations and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
Job Description
Payroll Processing
- Ensure all payroll data is up-to-date, including earnings, deductions, and benefits.
- Handle payroll adjustments and other salary-related transactions.
Leave Management via ESS
- Administer employee leave requests through the ESS system.
- Track and update leave balances, ensuring accuracy in the ESS platform.
- Provide support and guidance to employees using the ESS system for leave requests.
Statutory Reporting
- Prepare and submit statutory reports for PAYE, UIF, SDL, and WCA.
- Ensure all statutory payments and filings are completed on time.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting statutory reporting and payroll compliance.
Timesheet Reconciliations
- Collect, review, and reconcile employee timesheets against payroll records.
- Ensure accurate recording of hours worked, overtime, and leave taken.
Compliance and Audits
- Maintain compliance with company policies, labour laws, and payroll regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and leave administration.
Employee Support and Communication
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, leave balances, and statutory deductions.
- Provide clear communication regarding payroll timelines, changes, and updates.
System Maintenance
- Ensure the Sage and ESS systems are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Relevant Certificate/Diploma in Bookkeeping/Accounting.
- VIP Sage Payroll professional (Cloud).
- Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position.
