Job Title: Head of IT
Seek an experienced IT leader to oversee IT operations in SSA, ensuring stable operations and delivering high-quality IT support services. Key responsibilities include managing a team, delivering high-quality IT support services, supporting the Global Service Desk, and implementing strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements. Additional responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, understanding global standards, preparing RFPs and documentation, developing policies and procedures, participating in IT strategy development, and negotiating with vendors.
Requirements:
- Personable, able to work with individuals at all levels.
- University degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 7 years equivalent work experience.
- Certifications in MCSE, CCIE advantageous.
- 5 years experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence.
- 5 years service delivery management and/or partnering experience.
- Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
- 5 years successful leadership of an infrastructure team.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware.
- Knowledge of current protocols and standards.
- Ability to make sound and logical judgments.
- Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills.
- Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation.
